WHEN TO STRENGTHEN?

A competent technician should analyze the ceilings and diagnose the state of the roof and the need for possible repair or reinforcement.

WHY ALUMINUM BEAMS?

The rehabilitation and reinforcement of damaged beams are invariably performed on residential buildings and inaccessible places. EXTEND beams are designed to solve these problems.

Concrete and steel beams are very expensive to install. EXTEND beams are manufactured with high resistant aluminum alloy making them very light in weight, about one third of iron of similar resistance. Besides, being telescopic they are transported disassembled to the point of installation.

The EXTEND beams aluminum alloy is as strong, as that used in the manufacture of the masts of sailboats in competition.

HOW TO INSTALL THE EXTEND BEAMS?

The assembly is very simple. As described in the video, once the wall supports are placed, the EXTEND beam is placed on them. Then the assembled profiles are assembled in a telescoping manner into the other with one end resting on a support. After the other part is extended at the other end until it rests on the other support.

SHOULD EXTEND PROFILES BE WELDED?

EXTEND is the only system that does not require welding or screws. The profiles required length are introduced into each other telescopically to work as a continuous beam. Welding is dangerous and toxic, especially if applied in occupied buildings.

HAVE TEST BEEN MADE TO GUARANTEE THE STRUCTURE SYSTEM?

There have been many and satisfactory tests in the laboratories of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, in the Construction Laboratory of the Generalitat de Catalunya and in the Laboratory of the Eduardo Torroja CSIC Institute of Madrid (DIT 270R/09).

DO EXTEND BEAMS REQUIRE MAINTENANCE?

EXTEND beams, being aluminum, require no painting or maintenance, they are guaranteed because they are not degradable.

HOW MANY PARTS IS THE BEAM MADE OF?

EXTEND beams are composed of two or three sections depending on the total length of the beam to be reinforced and the difficulty of access to the site of placement. Our technicians will advise on the best solution in each case. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
